Yongzheng Six-Character Mark

The square vase is potted in rectangular form， each side painted with a rectangular panel enclosing four boys in various leisurely pursuits， riding a hobby-horse， catching crickets， fishing and playing with toys， all reserved on a ground of dense scrolling lotus extending from below the neck to above the foot， six-character Yongzheng reign mark in underglaze-blue.
Daoism became the spiritual belonging of the Yongzheng Emperor during his elder period. This kind of small vase is probably related to the alchemy event during 1730 to 1734， also a period after the Emperor has experienced a severe illness.
